    Journal scope

AAS is an international journal on the dynamics, physics, and chemistry of the atmosphere and oceans. It covers the latest achievements and developments in the atmospheric sciences, including marine meteorology and geophysics, as well as the theoretical and applied areas of these disciplines.

Papers on weather systems, numerical weather prediction, climate dynamics and variability, satellite meteorology, remote sensing, air chemistry and the boundary layer, clouds, and weather modification can be found in the journal. Papers describing the application of new mathematics or new instruments are also considered.

    Abstracted and indexed by:

Science Citation Index; Meteorological & Geoastrophysical Abstracts; CAB Abstracts; Chinese Journals Full-Text Database/Science-Engineering (A); Wanfang Data/ Fundamental Sciences/Geoscience; and VIP Information/Chinese Scientific Journals Database

Five good reasons to publish in AAS:
    • Indexed in the world’s top databases, including the “Science Citation Index” (SCI), in which it has the highest Impact Factors among peer-reviewed Atmospheric Sciences journals based in Asia (Thomson Reuters, 2014).
    • Co-published by world-renowned publishers: Springer and Science Press.
    • Fair and rigorous refereeing, operated to the highest international standards and supervised by an international editorial board using Thomson Reuters’ ScholarOne peer-review management system.
